Marcel and Karen live in Johannesburg, South Africa. The have two children, a daughter Ivana age 7 and a son Wesley age 5. Debbie and I first met Marcel in the early 90's in Scandinavia. He was doing a Youth Conference in Helsinki Finland. I was immediately impressed with this Arabic Brother's serious stand for Jesus and his sensitivity to people and to the Holy Spirit. Some years later I began making the discovery that Marcel is one of the most earnest students of the scriptures that I know. In fact, I am amazed at the level of insight and light that God has given to this brother. He possesses such fire in his heart to help people find Jesus that it carries his ministry to many places most of us have never heard about. He is also a regular speaker on our weekly LLIM Radio program called "It's All About Jesus!"

Marcel moves in the gifts of the Spirit with a powerful anointing. To maintain the balance between power and character, he has become a man of prayer.

An interesting commentary on the South African Christians motivation to pray can be made here. Chinese saints desire to take the gospel west all the way to Jerusalem. South Africans know that they are key to the evangelization of Africa. They are praying to be able to carry the gospel north all the way to Cairo. Marcel has been a part of this very serious prayer movement for the last 2 decades. Debbie and I spent one month in South Africa and participated in these powerful meetings. It is my opinion that this could very well be the most powerful prophetic prayer meetings that are happening in our day!
